Let's go!!

I have been out of commission for the past few days. Last Wednesday I underwent a nerve decompression surgery to relieve the nerve pain caused by peripheral neuropathy in my legs and feet. The surgeons made five incisions and decompressed six nerves in each leg and foot. Before I had it done I was thinking in my typical positive way that this would be a cakewalk. After all they said that I would have to walk before they would let me leave the hospital. Then I got the word or rather the feeling. Sixteen inches of incisions is not a cakewalk. It’s more of a butt kick…or a brain kick…or, for that matter, a full body kick. Some where in my book, Smell the Dirt, I make a statement something like “the body will put in motion what the mind conceives.” I think that is true. Although I have had doubts this past week. My giddy up and go seems to have (temporarily I hope) giddy upped and went.

Jean just left to get the Christmas groceries. As she was leaving she said there is a list of Christmas House Cleaning Chores on the kitchen counter. No Rest for the Wicked!! Giddy up, Leon!! Later
